Its a nice berry flavor with little pieces of berries and almonds in it. Its a great low carb bar! Tastes kinda like a muffin if you warm it up a bit. I place it by my laptop cooling fan when I play games….It makes it nice and warm.

I would recommend this bar to anyone on a low carb diet.

With their ‘All Natural’ line, Sucralose is removed and replaced with Stevia and Erythritol, both of which are REAL sugar substitutes found in fruits and plants. Erythritol is actually one of the few sweeteners to have a GI of 0.

Now, for the flavor: If you’re remotely a fan of ANYTHING chocolate peanut butter (nutella + peanut butter, resee’s peanut butter cups, etc.), you will LOVE this flavor. I’m a huge sucker for anything chocolate peanut butter and this flavor has removed all guilt I feel after having my favorite combination. From now on, if I ever feel like having a cheat day, I’ll just buy a box of this and enjoy every moment of it instead of gorging on resee’s peanut butter cups and feeling guilty afterwards.

It’s very rare these days to see a protein bar that’s “peanut butter & jelly”, “vanilla”, and “chocolate peanut butter”, etc., and actually have the ingredient list have those actual foods rather than a laundry list of artificial sweeteners, cellulose gum, and so on.

I’m also glad that Quest uses soluble prebiotic fiber in their bars. Soluble fiber (the fiber you get from fruits and green vegetables) is the fiber your body needs, not the insoluble fiber from grains which simply pass through your colon and make you go to the bathroom quicker than usual. Soluble fiber restores healthy gut flora in your stomach, raises HDL, lowers LDL, stabilizes blood sugar, and a myrad of other health benefits.

Heres a way to judge a prortein bar for me:
What if I over indulged and ate 3 of these tasty suckers? Would my diet be destroyed for that day… Let us see.

Total for 3 bars

Calories 480 (I can live with that, lower than some of my meals)

Fat 15g (not awesome but still very low considering how much calories and protein I just had. Plus most of it comes from almonds, it’s actually good fat. Its not saturated chocolate flavored lard like some bars out there)

Protein 60g (Can you say hell yeah??)

Fiber 51g (Maybe a little overboard but you’ll just eat less later, fiber keeps you on track like nothing else)
Net impact carbs 6g (I have bigger chunks of corn….. well you know how it goes)

If you’re still reading this… the answer is yes. I just ate 3 bars after getting my first box. Its my 5th flavor of quest bars I have tried and I will probably be buying just this flavor for a while. Until I am way bored of it. It’s the best.

I work out daily but I am also a busy PhD student in molecular biology. This is the bar for me on the go from now on. Thanks for the guy in vitamin shoppe who introduced me to quest bars. If you’re a seller of quest bars… carry this flavor!

I try to drink a protein shake early a.m. and mid morning. Then I have a salad or some fish/chicken protein for lunch. By early afternoon I’m hungry again and eating one of these is very satisfying and filling. I don’t get another urge to eat until dinner and I’m the type that typically needs to eat a little something every few hours.

Most protein bars are designed as energy bars with lots of calories and high fat content, but this bar uses quality ingredients and has been a welcome comfort-food addition to my low-carb, low-calorie diet.
